Hi! I’m Rosana Aziz
So what brought me down this path? Not long ago, I had no idea that parent coaching was even a thing. I had an awesome and very strong-willed 18-month-old boy whom I was crazy about but also was making me crazy…or so I thought. My confidence was low, never sure I was doing the right thing despite following tips and strategies from these “perfect” moms on social media or reading and researching every toddler behavior topic I could get my hands on. I was feeling defeated and frustrated and quite frankly, not enjoying motherhood very much.
I became immensely intrigued in parent coaching because I was playing the role of the “old-school”, authoritative mom, but not only was it not getting us anywhere most of the time, it also didn’t feel right. I desperately wanted a better connection with my son, I just didn’t know what TO do instead. So I began my journey in an effort to be the best version of mama that I could be for him, while also helping families who felt as stuck as I was.
What if I could not only improve my own family life, but also help thousands of parents to have healthier, connected relationships with their kids?! Together, using Mindful Parenting, we would be contributing to future generations of happier, more secure adults who have a strong sense of self, know how to recognize and work through their emotions, and who better communicate, collaborate and thrive together! What could that world look like?
So here I am. In searching for answers on how to handle my toddler, I ended up learning how to handle myself, so that I could best show up for him… and in the process, I found more of my true self. This has been such an enriching experience. It has taught me how to have real confidence as a parent and a person, how to slow down and meet the unique needs of my son, and YES, how to guide him (and his little brother on the way). It gives me tremendous joy to help parents bring their own authenticity and strength to their unique parenting journey, through Mindfulness.
